On January 16, Flour Bluff ISD students will make-up one of two school days lost in December due to the city-wide tap water ban that resulted in the cancellation of school. The District’s Official School Calendar has a two built-in school closure/weather make-up days. The first scheduled day is Monday, January 16, which will be a regular school day for all students and staff.
The District is pursuing other options with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) on the make-up of the second school closure day. Friday, April 14, is the second built-in weather make-up day on the District’s Official School Calendar. Superintendent Brian Schuss is diligently working on possible state waivers or other options available to the District.
Once a decision is made on the second school closure make-up day, the District will communicate that information to students and parents.
We look forward to seeing all students on Monday, January 16!
