Dr. David Freeman was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. He began his education career as a teacher and coach in Clear Creek, Woodville, Dallas, and Keller Independent School Districts. He started his administrative career as an Assistant Principal in Muenster ISD and was the High School Principal in Saint Jo ISD. Dr. Freeman also served as the Superintendent at Montague ISD before returning home to Wichita Falls ISD as the Associate Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer. He was the Superintendent of Schools for London ISD from 2014-2019 before being named the Superintendent at Flour Bluff ISD in July of 2019.
Dr. Freeman holds a bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University and a master’s degree from the University of North Texas. He earned his Doctor of Education degree in 2015 from Texas Wesleyan University.
When he’s not supporting Flour Bluff ISD students or the community, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, watching sports, fishing, reading, listening to great music and traveling. He is on a quest to visit all 50 states and all 30 MLB ball parks!
