Flour Bluff ISD announces summer programs


Flour Bluff ISD will host various athletic and academic programs for students beginning May 30 through mid-August. The programs provide an opportunity for students to take part in a variety athletic camps or academic programs for grades Kindergarten through 12th grades.

Academic programs include summer school, credit recovery courses, programs for special education and English language learners and robotics and invention camps. 

Athletic camps include opportunities for girl and boy athletes in track, swimming, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and football.

In addition, Flour Bluff High School will be a host site for the City of Corpus Christi’s Latchkey program, June 12 through August 4 for youth ages 5-13. Latchkey features a variety of activities such as swimming, tennis, arts & crafts, guest speakers and field trips. Flour Bluff ISD schools and facilities will be closed Friday, January 21st, 2022, due to severe weather conditions. The latest weather updates are indicating a high probability of freezing temperatures and precipitation that may create hazardous road conditions Friday morning.

All extracurricular activities (including athletics) will be canceled for the morning of Friday, January 21st. With temperatures currently expected to increase through the day on Friday, extracurricular activities scheduled for the afternoon may continue unless otherwise communicated by coaches or teachers/sponsors.

Flour Bluff ISD faculty and staff should not report to work on Friday, January 21st unless directed by your supervisor. Thank you for your patience as we assessed the situation. We ask that you please stay safe and warm in this winter weather. Flour Bluff ISD will resume its normal schedule on Monday, January 24th, 2022.
