FBISD begins search for new superintendent of schools

Flour Bluff ISD has begun the search process for a new Superintendent of Schools. The application window for individuals interested in the District’s top job opened October 12 and will close on November 15.

An online survey was posted during the beginning of October to offer individuals an online platform to provide input on the District’s next Superintendent of Schools. In total, the District received over 230 responses on the characteristics of a new superintendent and the areas the individual should focus on.  Click here to view a complete listing of all responses from the online survey.

Anyone interested in finding out more on the superintendent search or would like to apply, can visit the Flour Bluff ISD Superintendent Search website at fbisdsupsearch.org. The site provides information about the District’s demographics and campuses, information on the Corpus Christi community, the search timeline and qualifications. In addition, it is the platform applicants will use to apply for the position.

According to the superintendent search timeline, the Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees will interview candidates in early December and name a lone-finalist. Following a 21-day waiting period, required by state law, it is anticipated the Board will name the new superintendent of schools in early January.

It is expected the District will have a new superintendent in place by February 1.
