Flour Bluff ISD is proud to announce that all six of our campuses have earned the Texas Education Agency’s Purple Star Campus Designation for the 2026–2027 school year.

This designation recognizes campuses that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. With our close connection to the military community, we are honored to provide resources, support and opportunities that help military-connected students feel welcomed and supported throughout their educational journey.

To earn the Purple Star Campus Designation, each campus must meet specific criteria established by the Texas Education Agency. This includes designating a campus-based military liaison, maintaining an accessible webpage with information and resources for military-connected students and their families, and providing a campus transition program to help students and families navigate changes associated with military life.

Campuses must also offer an initiative that demonstrates their support for military-connected families. This may include participating in Month of the Military Child or Military Family Month, adopting a resolution recognizing military-connected students and families, or partnering with a school liaison officer to provide opportunities for active-duty military members.

Earning the Purple Star designation across all six Flour Bluff ISD campuses reflects our districtwide commitment to making sure military-connected students and their families know they have a place in the Hornet community.

We are grateful for the dedication of our campus military liaisons, staff and community partners who help make this support possible. We are proud to stand alongside the military families who call Flour Bluff home and to continue building a school community where every student feels supported, valued and connected.
