Flour Bluff ISD officially broke ground on the Hornet Stadium Improvement Project on August 20, marking another significant milestone in the district’s Bond 2025 program and an exciting step forward for the future of Hornet athletics, fine arts, and community events.
For more than 70 years, Hornet Stadium has served as a gathering place for the Flour Bluff community. Generations of students, athletes, performers, families, staff, alumni, and fans have walked through its gates, creating memories and traditions that have become an important part of the Flour Bluff story.
The stadium improvement project will build on that legacy while creating an enhanced space for current and future Hornets. The improvements are part of the district’s continued commitment to providing students with facilities that support their opportunities to learn, compete, perform, and grow.
As construction moves forward, the project represents another piece of the district’s long-term vision through Bond 2025. The improvements to Hornet Stadium will help ensure that this longtime community landmark continues to serve students and families for generations to come.
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together district leaders, staff, students, community members, and supporters to celebrate the beginning of this next chapter for Hornet Stadium.
