Flour Bluff Technology Department Completes District-Wide Interactive Display Installation
Thanks to Bond 2025, the Flour Bluff ISD Technology Department has completed the activation and installation of 220 brand-new 75-inch Newline interactive displays across every Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth grade classroom in the district.
This was a major undertaking, and our Technology Department staff deserve tremendous credit for the work behind it. From unboxing and mounting to configuring, connecting, and testing each unit, our team made sure every display was activated and ready for teachers to use the moment students walked back through the doors.
The installation was tailored to fit the way each campus learns. In our Pre-K through 4th grade classrooms, the displays were mounted to mobile carts, giving teachers the flexibility to roll the screen wherever a lesson takes them, whether that’s the front of the room, a small-group table, or a reading circle on the floor. At the Intermediate campus, the 5th and 6th grade displays were wall-mounted, creating a fixed, front-and-center hub for whole-class instruction.
The Newline displays work like a giant touchscreen tablet at the front of the room. Each one is a 75-inch 4K screen with sharp, clear picture from anywhere in the room and built-in speakers, so no extra sound system is needed. Teachers and students can write and draw right on the screen, and several students can write at the same time, which makes lessons more hands-on. Anything written during a lesson can be saved and opened again later.
