Students in all classes are given an opportunity to act in, direct and design their own specific class production. Everyone has an opportunity be on the big stage!
The Theatre Department is an active member of the International Thespian Society and participates in community service events as well as theatrical productions. Through the International Thespian Society, students have an opportunity to gain scholarship opportunities by competing and auditioning at the Thespian Festival, TFA State and UIL competitions.
In the fall, the Department holds a production that is open for anyone in the student body to audition. Additionally, all students are welcome to audition for the One Act Play in the spring. Other productions open to the public include a ten minute student directed play festival and a TFA event showcase.
The Department works under the motto “none of us is better than all of us together” It is with that sense of team work and ensemble that the department continues to flourish and grow.
