On October 8, 2024, Flour Bluff ISD will hold a public hearing to consider whether the Flour Bluff Independent School District should adopt the proposed District of Innovation Plan. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Flour Bluff District of Innovation Committee will vote to renew the plan and then submit it to the Flour Bluff Board of Trustees for approval.
The public hearing will be held during the District of Innovation meeting, which will begin at 4:15 p.m. in the Flour Bluff ISD Central Administration, Board Room, located at 2505 Waldron Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78414.
The notice for this meeting was posted in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act on October 3, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.
El 8 de octubre de 2024, Flour Bluff ISD tendrá una audiencia pública para considerar si el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Flour Bluff debería adoptar el Plan de Innovación del Distrito propuesto. 1. Flour Bluff Independent School District offers career and technology education programs in numerous programs of study. Career Development, Architecture & Construction, Arts, A/V Technology & Communications, Business, Marketing, & Finance, Health Science, Hospitality & Tourism, Human Services, Information Technology, Law & Public Service, Manufacturing, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics. Admission to these programs is based on career interest, ability, achievement, age appropriateness, and class space.
2. It is the policy of Flour Bluff Independent School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or age in its vocational programs as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

Private Non-Profit Schools may be eligible for services under the Stronger Connection Grant. This grant aims to support systemic change in how school districts address and respond to bullying, violence, and acts of hate. The grant will support students’ academic and nonacademic needs by providing safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments that will result in improved academic achievement as well as mental, behavioral, emotional, and physical health and well-being.
