Erick Martinez Named Director of Student Nutrition

Flour Bluff Independent School District is proud to announce the appointment of Erick Martinez as the District’s new Director of Student Nutrition. Mr. Martinez brings extensive experience in the foodservice industry, with 20 years as a restaurant general manager and multiple awards recognizing operational excellence. Since joining Flour Bluff ISD in November 2022 as Nutrition Coordinator, he has contributed significantly to the growth and development of the district’s student nutrition program.

In his previous role, Mr. Martinez gained expertise in menu planning, recipe development, clinical and special diet management, supply chain logistics, procurement, inventory control, monthly claims, and compliance with regulatory audits from various student nutrition agencies. His leadership and vision have strengthened the quality, efficiency, and impact of Flour Bluff ISD’s nutrition services.

Mr. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. His goal as Director of Student Nutrition is to ensure that every student has access to the nutrition they need to excel.

Flour Bluff ISD is excited to welcome Mr. Martinez into this leadership position and looks forward to the positive impact he will make for students and the community.
