Flour Bluff ISD Students Receive Laptops Thanks to AT&T, Chairman Todd Hunter, and the Hornet Legacy Foundation

Students in Flour Bluff ISD received an important boost toward their academic success thanks to a generous donation from AT&T, Chairman Todd Hunter, and the Hornet Legacy Foundation. Through this community partnership, 50 laptop computers were distributed to students who will benefit from having access to technology both in the classroom and at home.

The special presentation brought together students and families as they received the devices. The donation reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that every student has the tools needed to succeed in today’s digital learning environment.

The event featured remarks from several community leaders and partners, including Todd Hunter Jr., President of the Hornet Legacy Foundation; JD Salinas, AT&T Vice President of External and Legislative Affairs; State Representative Todd Hunter, Chairman of the Texas House State Affairs Committee; and Superintendent Chris Steinbruck.

Chairman Todd Hunter joined district leaders and representatives from AT&T and the Hornet Legacy Foundation to present the laptops and celebrate the positive impact the technology will have on local students. He emphasized that access to technology is essential for student success both inside and outside the classroom, noting that the laptops will help students stay connected, complete assignments, explore new opportunities, and prepare for their futures. He also expressed gratitude to AT&T and the Hornet Legacy Foundation for their support of Flour Bluff ISD students.

AT&T representatives highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to help bridge the digital divide and expand educational opportunities across Texas. JD Salinas, AT&T Vice President of External and Legislative Affairs, shared that AT&T is proud to partner with local organizations and leaders to help students access the technology they need and emphasized the importance of connectivity and device access in education.

The Hornet Legacy Foundation played a key role in coordinating the effort and identifying students who would benefit most from receiving the laptops. The students were selected by their high school counselors, with consideration given to their participation in Dual Credit, Advanced Placement, and Career and Technical Education coursework. Todd Hunter Jr., President of the Hornet Legacy Foundation, noted that the donation demonstrates the impact of strong community partnerships and expressed appreciation to AT&T and Chairman Todd Hunter for helping provide meaningful resources to students, along with the support of the district’s administration, high school counselors, and technology department.

Flour Bluff ISD officials expressed their appreciation for the partnership and the positive impact it will have across the district. Superintendent Chris Steinbruck highlighted the district’s commitment to ensuring every student has access to necessary resources and explained that the laptops will help remove barriers to learning, expand opportunities beyond the classroom, and empower students to reach their full potential.
