Flour Bluff ISD recently hosted Shape the Design, a collaborative event focused on planning the district’s new Career and Technology Education (CTE) Center. Sponsored by Pfluger Architects, the architects leading the project, the session brought together community members, industry partners, military representatives, students, teachers, and district staff to share ideas and insight on how to best serve future Hornets through hands-on, career-focused learning.
Held at the Flour Bluff High School Teaching Theatre, participants discussed workforce trends, industry needs, and opportunities to align student preparation with real-world career pathways. The goal was to ensure that the new CTE Center becomes a bridge between education and industry success, equipping students with the skills and experiences needed for rewarding careers.
In addition to program design and facility planning, fiscal responsibility was an important part of the discussion. The development of the new CTE Center is made possible through the passing of Bond 2025, supported by the Flour Bluff, Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Corpus Christi Army Depot, and Padre Island communities. Their continued commitment reflects a shared investment in preparing students for the future.
The session highlighted Flour Bluff ISD’s strong partnerships across industries such as health science, maritime, aviation, construction, robotics, and other fields that represent both local and regional workforce strengths.
Through collaboration and community input, Flour Bluff ISD continues to design programs and facilities that embody the district’s tradition of Class, Pride, and Heart
