Flour Bluff Independent School District is proud to announce the hiring of Elliott Chapa as the District’s new Assistant Director of Maintenance and Operations. Mr. Chapa brings extensive firsthand knowledge of Flour Bluff ISD’s operations, systems, and campus needs at a pivotal time for Flour Bluff ISD. As the District moves forward with major facility improvements and long-range planning associated with the upcoming Bond initiatives, his expertise will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality learning environments for students and staff.
A longtime member of the Flour Bluff ISD family, Mr. Chapa has served the district in multiple leadership capacities, including Principles of Construction Instructor, Coach, and Coordinator of Extracurricular Operations. Through these roles, he has developed extensive experience in project coordination, logistics management, purchasing, safety oversight, and facility-related operations.
Mr. Chapa holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and a Master of Education from Concordia University–Texas. He is currently enrolled in Schreiner University and will soon obtain his Principal Certification. His background in construction has provided hands-on knowledge of building systems, tools, safety protocols, and workforce-aligned practices, while his leadership roles have required precision, accountability, and the ability to manage complex operational demands under pressure.
“Elliott leads with a servant’s heart and a strong commitment to supporting others, our campuses, our systems, and the people who rely on them every day,” said Superintendent Chris Steinbruck. “As we move into Bond planning and execution, it is critical to have leaders who listen, pay attention to the details, and work alongside our staff to get things done the right way. Elliott’s experience and steady approach will help ensure our Maintenance and Operations team continues to support our teachers and staff so they can stay focused on what matters most: our students.”
Flour Bluff ISD is excited to welcome Mr. Chapa into this leadership position and looks forward to the positive impact he will make as the district continues to grow and invest in its future.
