On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Flour Bluff Junior High and Intermediate Math/Science Team traveled to Mission, Texas, to compete against over 30 schools and 600 students during the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) competition. Flour Bluff Junior High and Intermediate Math/Science Team students excelled during the competition and brought home numerous awards.
The Team won first place in Team Sweepstakes for 7th and 8th Grades and 2nd place in the 6th Grade Sweepstakes. Our Hornets were able to sweep the TMSCA team events winning first place in Science, Number Sense, Calculator Application and General Math. In addition, the team snagged top 10 spots in 62 out a possible 120 Math/Science events. Fifteen students won their events.
