FBISD Board President, Steve Ellis, resigns position; Board seeks candidate for vacated position

Flour Bluff ISD Board President, Steve Ellis, submitted his resignation from his position on the Board after 11 years of dedicated service to the District.  The Board is inviting community members interested in serving on the Board of Trustees to submit a letter of interest and a resume for consideration to fill the vacancy for Place 1 until the term expires in November 2020.

Letters of interest and resumes will be accepted through Friday, September 14, 2018, at 4 p.m. Individuals selected for an interview, will be notified by the Board President. Applicants are required to have the same qualifications as candidates for election. Qualifications include the following:

  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be 18 years of age
  • Be a registered voter
  • Be a resident of Texas and the District for the period of time described at CANDIDATE’S RESIDENCY TERM, below. Const. Art. XVI, Sec. 14
