On Friday and Saturday, March 29 and March 30, Flour Bluff High School hosted the UIL District 29-5A District Academic Contest. The event included seven participating districts in a variety of events including calculator applications, literary criticism, social studies and spelling and vocabulary. Once again Flour Bluff High School students excelled and have been named the District 29-54 UIL Academic Champions.
The teams below were ranked either first or second place in the district in their contests. All first place teams will be competing at the UIL Region IV Academic Contest on April 12-13, 2019, at the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA). Second place teams are vying for the wild card slot to compete at the Region Contest.
