On December 17, a Farewell Reception was held for outgoing Superintendent, Brian Schuss. The event was an opportunity for District employees to give well wishes to Mr. Schuss who has been with Flour Bluff ISD for 10 years, two of which have been serving at the helm of the District.
Mr. Schuss will continue in his current position at FBISD until the end of December. Former Superintendent, Joe Kelley, is returning to the District to serve as Interim Superintendent when students and staff return from Winter Break on December 7. Mr. Kelley will be assisting the Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees in the search for a new superintendent beginning in January.
Mr. Schuss announced his resignation and acceptance of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources position for Katy Independent School District in mid-November. He begins his new role in Katy ISD in January.
Wishing Mr. Schuss all the best in his new role at Katy ISD!
