Flour Bluff ISD mourns the loss of former Superintendent Carol Moffett

By September 3, 2021No Comments

It’s with a saddened heart we announce that former Flour Bluff ISD Superintendent Carol Moffett has passed away following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Moffett served our District as Superintendent from 1998 until 2003. She returned in 2013 to serve as Interim Superintendent.

Mrs. Moffett’s service to education also included leading Woodville ISD, Mabank ISD, and Ingram ISD as superintendent. Even after retirement, she remained a faithful and loyal servant of public education.

Flour Bluff ISD sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Carol Moffett. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) in her memory. This was an organization that was near and dear to Mrs. Moffett’s heart and one she supported and volunteered at for many years.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Carol Moffett is pending.
