Flour Bluff Junior High Boys Athletics Coordinator, George Henderson, was nominated and awarded the 2018 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Middle School Coach of the Year award for the 2017-2018 season. He is one of eight middle school coaches to receive this honor in the state of Texas.
To receive the prestigious award, individuals are nominated by peers. TABC Regional coordinators and committees vote and select individuals to be named Coach of the Year.
Coach Henderson helped lead the 8th grade boys basketball team to an undefeated 17-0 record and a district title this year. The team won every tournament entered along the way.
“We appreciate the hard work and dedication to Flour Bluff Athletics and Flour Bluff ISD,” said Coach Jamie Boswell, Flour Bluff High School Head Boys Basketball Coach. “The entire Flour Bluff Athletics Department congratulates Coach Henderson.”
Coach Henderson will be recognized at the 2018 TABC Spring Clinic in May in San Antonio.
