Flour Bluff Primary & Intermediate campuses recognized by Learning.com for student online safety

Flour Bluff Primary and Intermediate campuses have been recognized by Learning.com for being top participants in student online safety and digital citizenship courses. The top campus and classroom were recognized this week.

During October and November, Flour Bluff ISD campuses took part in the Learning.com Online Safety:Digital Citizenship courses. The curriculum teaches students direct instruction in digital citizenship and responsible use of technology. The online digital courses teaches students about digital footprints, the importance of privacy settings, creating strong passwords and how to avoid websites that ask for personal information. The interactive lessons are grade appropriate and engaging for the students.

Flour Bluff Primary was the winning school with 74% of enrolled students participating in the Online Safety Curriculum contest. The campus was presented a banner to hang at the campus. Flour Bluff Intermediate 5th grade Social Studies teacher, Lara Gibson, won a $25 gift card for the class with 100% student participation in the contest and 1,140 online safety curriculum completions.
