On Saturday, December 3, the Flour Bluff Junior High Math/Science team traveled eight hours for the largest Texas Math & Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) Math/Science meet ever in Dallas, Texas. Over 55 schools and 1000+ students attended the meet.
Our Flour Bluff Hornets did amazingly well. Students swept both the 7th grade and 8th grade sweepstakes trophies. The team won 7th grade by over 500 points and 8th grade by an incredible margin of nearly 850 points. In addition, the team swept both 7th and 8th grade number sense and calculator. The Junior High Math/Science Team also won 8th grade General Math and placed 2nd in 8th grade Science. Also of note we were 4th place in 7th grade general math and 8th in 7th grade Science. Junior High student, Nathan Black, won first place in both 8th Grade Number Sense and General Math.
