Nine Flour Bluff Athletes commit to colleges on National Signing Day

Nine Flour Bluff Hornets signed letters of intent to play football, soccer, softball, or track & field at colleges across Texas on Wednesday, February 7, as part of National Signing Day 2018. The event was held at the Flour Bluff ISD Athletic Facility. Students, parents, coaches, teachers and District administrators were on-hand to celebrate with the students.

“Each of these athletes have the opportunity to take part in a sport beyond high school because they have excelled academically,” said Coach Steinbruck, Flour Bluff ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. “You get these types of opportunities by working hard and having “Class, Pride and Heart” on the field and in the classroom.”

The following student athletes took part in National Signing Day 2018:

Football Signings:
James Bagnell – University of North Texas
Brendan Suckley – Rice University

Soccer Signings:
Mia Garcia – University of Houston – Victoria
Fabian Pallares – St. Edward’s University

Softball Signings:
Araya Ayala – San Jacinto Junior College
Tatiana Figueroa – Howard Payne University
Riley Grunberg – University of Texas at San Antonio
Gabriela Mora – Schreiner University

Track & Field Signing
Emily Habib – Texas A&M University-Kingsville
