Overview

“The Division of Operations at Flour Bluff Independent School District (FBISD) consists of multiple departments that work collaboratively to efficiently and effectively support the academic and operational needs of our students, staff, and community. Our mission is to deliver exceptional service through responsiveness, innovation, and accountability, ensuring that we create an environment conducive to student success. Aligned with the district’s vision of becoming the premier school district in Texas, our Division of Operations is dedicated to fostering student well-being, academic achievement, and community satisfaction.

Risk Management

In partnership with the Human Resources Department, Risk Management safeguards the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors through proactive safety programs, training initiatives, insurance management, and compliance efforts. This department works closely with all district teams to minimize hazards and foster a secure and supportive learning environment.

Grounds Services

Grounds Services preserves and enhances the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces across the district. From athletic fields to playgrounds, this team ensures campuses are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming, creating a positive first impression for the district and instilling pride in the community.

Mechanic Shop

The Mechanic Shop supports district operations by maintaining and repairing the district’s fleet of vehicles, including buses and service vehicles. This department ensures transportation services run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing reliability.

Facilities Planning

Facilities Planning focuses on long-term infrastructure development, improvement, and bond planning. The team collaborates with architects, engineers, and contractors to plan new construction, renovations, and expansions based on district needs and anticipated growth. Their work ensures facilities align with educational goals and community expectations.”

Transportation Services

Transportation Services ensure the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school, as well as extracurricular activities and events. The department manages bus routes, driver training, and vehicle maintenance to provide reliable and timely service. Their work supports student attendance and access to learning opportunities.

Child Nutrition Services

Enhancing the health and academic success of students by providing nutritious, well-balanced meals. Our department ensures that students across the district receive meals that fuel their learning and promote overall wellness, contributing to a positive educational experience.
