Discover Flour Bluff ISD’s Gifted and Talented Programs

Flour Bluff ISD is proud to offer Gifted and Talented (G/T) programs that challenge and inspire students in Kindergarten through 12. Our programs provide accelerated learning opportunities in reading/language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics to allow students to reach their highest potential.

Flour Bluff ISD is committed to nurturing each student’s strengths and providing learning experiences that promote academic excellence and personal growth. How Students Are Selected for the Program

Students may be referred for the G/T program by teachers, parents, or themselves. Referred students are assessed for placement on the following schedule:

  • Grades 3–12: assessment occurs in April and May, and again in August.
  • Grades K–2: assessment occurs in January and February. Program offerings begin by March 1 for identified kindergarten students.
  • Students who transfer from other districts with a current G/T identification will be assessed as appropriate and may be placed immediately upon arrival if qualified
