Nueces County Precinct 2 Constable, Mitchell Clark, visited with students at the Primary campus to explain the role of a Constable, and to talk about safety and how to keep a promise. Constable Clark visited a number of classrooms at the campus to reach out to as many students as possible.

“The Constable’s Office is known as the people’s police department,”  Clark said. “We can reach folks at the grass roots level and that’s why I’m here today talking with these students.”

The Constable spent about 30 minutes visiting classrooms, educating students on the role of a Constable, gave out grade level information on safety and talked to the students about the importance of keeping promises.

“My goal for coming today is so the students know that we as police officers are here looking out for their safety and well being.”

Constable Clark also visited with students at SDGC and has plans to visit more campuses in the coming months.
